Fights happen, especially between the tightest of friendships. Zoey and Ana are still living under the same roof, and so far, their drama remains unsolved. Not to mention that Zoey and Luca aren’t doing so hot. However, she goes to him for a not-so-sorry apology, forgiving him for his behavior instead of acknowledging her own. Her friends basically declare the relationship in trouble. After a diss like that, they might not be wrong. Nomi is dealing with her own issues in her ill-fated attraction to Professor Hewson, after seeing her with another woman. Seems like everyone needs space to figure things out lately. They decide to release all their relationship woes by going out to Titanium for drinks with Ana. Unfortunately, Zoey’s beef with Ana is still on, so she opts for a night in—by herself. This lasts for about five minutes before Zoey dresses up and gets down there, with a twist.
Enter Junior, Zoey’s younger, more awkward brother Junior, from Blackish. He’s dressed up and ready to party with his sister. Zoey goes to chat with Luca, but he brushes her off. And after all that effort! The night is still young, and Skye and Junior are having some fun. Relationship problems are still on the brain: Jazz ditches the group to talk to Doug, and Nomi to talk to the professor. Jazz claims that ignoring the person who’s wronged you gives you the power, while Nomi says that honesty is the best method. Now Zoey’s all alone at a sticky table, watching Jazz and Junior live it up. Luca rides up to check if she needs help getting home, because she’s pretty buzzed already.
Meanwhile, Ana’s been by herself the whole time. The whole group is getting the cold shoulder because of her and Aaron. Despite his best efforts, Aaron can’t make anything right. When Zoey’s card declines to pay for her drink, he pays for it. Honestly, no one understands why the beef between Zoey and Ana is still happening, least of all Aaron. Come to think of it, neither does Zoey. She gets some much-needed perspective from Junior, who tells her to apologize for the other person, instead of for herself. It’s good advice.
Newfound feelings are found all around that night: Nomi and Professor Hewson are exploring their coonection, laughing and flirting together in Hewson’s house. Zoey apologizes to Ana for the past few days, reinstating their friendship, and Luca and Zoey share a kiss after she apologizes for real this time. Now, Ana and Aaron are heading out on a date, with 100% of Zoey’s support.
